KILLALOE – The Township of Killaloe Hagarty and Richards, in partnership with the Community Resource Centre, Friends of Killaloe Library, Killaloe Business Association, Killaloe Food Bank, Killaloe Heritage and Ecology Society, Killaloe and District Public Library, Killaloe Public School, Bonnechere Algonquins, Ottawa Valley Community Arts and St. Andrews’ Public School are pleased to announce the official opening of the Killaloe Pathways Park located at 86 Queen Street, Killaloe, Ontario.

Thanks support from the Government of Canada’s Healthy Communities Initiative, the KPP group was able to secure $30,000 of funding to go towards developing a 1 km trail system on the 18-acre property.

This will provide a foundation for the future development of a Reading/Art Walk featuring excerpts from children’s novels with 18 reading stations or chapters.

The trail will also provide the ground work for a Fitness Trail with 10 low impact exercise stations designed for all ages that will be installed in the Spring on 2022. F

uture plans for this development will also be shared at this event.

We invite you to join us at 1:30 pm on December 13th for our event where we will be officially opening the trails with smudging ceremony and prayer before the ribbon cutting. We will also be putting up new signage, launching our new website, and new logo. We will also be accepting a donation of lumber kindly provided by Keetchs Building Supply and Pastway Planning Limited.
