WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — The Whitewater Kings are currently in the 8th position, or the bottom rung, of the Richardson Division of the CCHL2 with 18 points, which is nine points short of 7th position Renfrew Timberwolves. However, they are three games shy of the number of games the Timberwolves have played.
The Kings’ record is six wins and 13 losses. The Christmas break is now over, and the team has a busy week.
The Kings take to the ice for an afternoon game on Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Astrolabe Arena in Cobden. Game time is 1:30 p.m. against the Athens Aeros.
The Kings then travel to Athens on Sunday, Jan. 6 for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Aeros.
On Tuesday, Jan. 8, the Kings travel to Carleton Place for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Carleton Place Junior Canadians and then Saturday, Jan. 12 the Aeros return to Cobden for a 7:30 p.m. game. The Kings then have a 1:30 p.m. game at the Nick Smith Centre on Sunday, Jan. 13 against the Arnprior Packers.
The upstairs lounge at the Astrolabe Arena will be opened during the Kings games, as well as the canteen in the main lobby.
