Dear Editor:
It has been a bittersweet summer of baseball for six Cobden boys.
At the beginning of the ball season, there weren’t enough players for a Cobden team so our boys joined up with the Lake Dore Thunder.
With the support of the coaches and friendship of the Lake Dore teammates they played the championship game Tuesday night against Eganville, proudly walking away with second place.
The Lake Dore families and fans know that they played this final round against ALL odds, so it is important that they know how proud we are of them: Ambrose Wattie, Yzer Tubman, Cooper Rooney-Denty, Thomas Ciphery, Nelson Remus, and Andrew Herwig.
