While the outcome of this election was disappointing, I am reminded of Sir Winston Churchill who after leading Great Britain alone for two years, and then with our allies to the end of the second world war – was callously rejected by his own people in the first election held in Great Britain following the greatest conflict against tyranny and evil in the history of man.
PM Stephen Harper has also acquitted himself most admirably during his tenure as our nation’s leader, and as a consequence of his steady hand and principled leadership, in times to come every true Canadian will reflect upon him as one of the greatest Prime Ministers to serve our dominion since Confederation in 1867.
Alas how appropriately relevant at this juncture in time are the old adages, “No good deeds ever go unpunished” and “How soon they forget.”
Nevertheless and to his everlasting credit, PM Harper alone among the world’s leaders remained steadfast in his support for the nation of Israel and its people, from whence came the commandments delivered to Moses by the Creator of all things, upon which the foundation of our nation was formed, and its PM Harper’s public acknowledgement, adherence to, and putting into practice those foundational principles, that served to ensure our great nation remained the envy of every other country on this planet.
However and most alarmingly so, the hands of socialist variance to these ancient ordinances are now at the helm of our nation, in diametrical opposition to everything PM Harper accomplished, thus leaving the future prosperity and safety of our nation and its people greatly imperiled, for the harbingers of a great calamity are rapidly coalescing on the horizons of our world, and I fear for the future of our dominion under the leadership of a “Drama Teacher” being counselled by the socialist planners whispering in his ear.
As for myself and the 29,195 Renfrew County people who voted for him, we wish Mr. Harper and all that pertaineth to him the very best in the future, whatever that future may bring.
Indeed we are grateful for everything he did for our country, and while Canada has suffered the loss of his sound leadership, mere words alone are inadequate for what he accomplished, and few are they among his predecessor’s who can lay claim to his strength of character and grace under fire – Stephen Harper served Canada well!
