WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — It all started while chatting in The Little Coffee Shop in Cobden. A customer was talking about Sylvester and Anna Afelskie, who reside at Caressant Care in Cobden, and their son Gerard Afelskie’s plan to play Santa Claus.

Mr. G. Afelskie decided he wanted to play the part of Mr. Claus and pass out a present to each of the 39 residents. Owner of The Little Coffee Shop, Anne Moss, liked what she heard and donated handmade packages of her cookies for the special visit. Helping out during his visit on Saturday, December 21, 2019 were his wife Bev Afelskie, Robby Moore and Gretchen Devlin.
