Kyla Ness has worked hard throughout her many years in 4-H, especially in the sheep and showmanship categories. Her hard work paid off when she was awarded Grand Championship Showperson at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the top notch show in Ontario. Ms. Ness is in her second year at Macdonald College of McGill University in the Farm Management and Technology program. She is the daughter of Jim and Kathy. Kyla said she was too busy this week at school to participate in an interview, but we’ll get a story about her win in an upcoming edition of Whitewater News. In the photo with Ms. Ness and her sheep, Kylacres Roxanne 1F are various dignitaries from The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

Several area farms competed at the 2018 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto, as many have done in years gone by.
