Councillor Jackson expressed issues with the meeting going over their three hour limit.
“It’s a lot of sitting.” she said.
CAO Trembley said that “a lot of deadlines were approaching” and that the Grants opportunity and the closed session needed to be addressed immediately.
Councillor Jackson asked if they could not summarize the reports before questions.
“I don’t think the staff need to go over it word for word.” she said.
“We should have all read the reports before then.”
Councillor Nicholson suggested to extend for an hour to complete the final events.
The motion to extend was carried.
Reeve Regier commented regarding the length of the meetings. “We are as responsible for these lengthy agendas as anyone.”
McLaughlin said “We’ve made some bad decisions because they’ve gone too long.”
He said that they’d gone up to five hours before.
The council then moved to closed session, to discuss a pending acquisition at 8:10pm ending the Youtube stream
