Mary Shirley (O’Brien) Strathern
July 25, 1937 – January 12, 2019
Peacefully at Forest Hill after a lengthy illness. Wife of the late Ken Strathern. Mother of Mark, Kelly, Kim, Luke (Pam), Patti (Richard) and Penny (Glen). Aunt of Julie, stepmother of Cynthia, Tracey (Late Dominic), Lynn (Gordon) and the late Ken Jr. Grandmother of seven. Daughter of the late Emmett and Veronica (Potvin) O’Brien. Sister of Larry and Sheila (Barclay); predeceased by Murray, Gerard and Sharon. To the doctors, nurses and personal support workers who cared for Shirley, Thank you for your professional and kind care. Friends and family may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Barrhaven Chapel on Saturday, January 19 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Memorial Service to follow in the chapel at 11 a.m.
