Renfrew County’s Olympian is up for another award. Eganville’s Melissa Bishop has been nominated for Female Athlete of the Year at the 2018 Faces of Ottawa Awards.
After a stellar year of racing and getting married, winning this would be one of Bishop’s many accomplishments from 2017.
She’s up against Rachel Homan (curler), Emma Miskew (curler), Ivanie Blondin (speed skater) Erica Wiebe (wrestler), Larissa Brown (high jumper) and this year’s Canadian Press Female Athlete of the Year, Brooke Henderson (golfer).
