The Muskrat Minor Hockey held its banquet Sunday night at the Cobden Legion. Each of the teams were recognized, being called to the front by their coaches and some teams presented with gifts. One team will present gifts at the team’s own year-end party. Following a delicious dinner, each of the teams recognized their players and talked about their season. The Novice team did exceptionally well, ending the regular season in fourth place and then winning all but one, which ended in a tie, of their games in the playoff series to win the league championship.
Ted Barron was presented with the Patti Eckford Memorial Award for dedication to the sport.
Lisa Bradbury accepted the Fan of the Year Award.
The Novice team coaching staff received the Bench Staff of the Year Award.
