RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — 104.9 myFM is proud to present the first ever spirit awards sponsored by Custom Draperies, Blinds and Bedding. General Manager at 104.9 myFM, Melissa Siegel, says there are 50 fun categories including best place to go for pizza, best dressed senior, favourite teacher, top cop, paramedic, best fundraiser, your grocery store of choice and many more.
Siegel says the nominations for all the categories were open between January 6 and January 19. The General Manager at 104.9 myFM adds over 10 thousand nominations were received and had to be counted. The voting period runs until February 9 and you can place your votes online at www.pembroketoday.ca.
The title sponsor for the myFM spirit awards is Custom Draperies, Blinds and Bedding. Owner Eileen Malette says the spirit awards is a great opportunity to recognize the people and businesses who turn our ordinary days into amazing days. Malette adds she notices great service and it matters.
The award show will be taking place Friday, February 28 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Pembroke Legion, located at 202 Pembroke Street East. The myFM spirit awards are free to attend and the general public is invited to come cheer on friends, family members and co-workers who may be nominated.
