Inspector Stephan Neufeld is the new Detachment Commander of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP.
Insp. Neufeld commenced his new position as Detachment Commander on October 30 and will share his time between the Pembroke and Petawawa OPP detachments. He was recently selected as the Detachment Commander of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP after the previous Detachment Commander Mark Wolfe retired last month.
Insp. Neufeld is a 23-year veteran of the OPP and has served in a variety of roles at six OPP Detachments throughout eastern Ontario. Over the course of his career he has been a frontline patrol officer, a patrol supervisor and an OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) member. He was also seconded to the Carleton Place Municipal Police Service for two years and has recently served as the Detachment Commander of the Ottawa OPP Detachment. He is a long-time resident of the Ottawa Valley and is married with two children.
