There is going to be a new roof put on the porch and summer kitchen of the Ross Museum in Foresters Falls.

The Whitewater Historical Society, which operates the museum, put out a call to the community for help to purchase $50 bundles of cedar wood shingles. Society president Mac Coughlin said the money has been pledged by 14 different people.

As well, the Cobden and District Civitan Club donated $500 towards the labour costs, he added.

Murray Keuhl of Cobden will put the cedar wood shingles on shortly after Oct. 1, Mr. Coughlin said.
