Councillor Jackson – Roadside Brushing
Recommendation: Whereas, Council adopted a Roadside Brushing Policy in October 2020; and
Whereas, the policy does not address public notification for those owning property abutting work areas;
Therefore be it resolved that Council of the Township of Whitewater Region direct staff to provide a report outlining potential changes to the Roadside Brushing Policy to address public notification at least 14 days prior to operations; and
Further, that the report outline the Township’s current practices regarding brushing.
There was no seconder of the notice of motion, with none of the council members seconding after two attempts. CAO Trembley advised that the motion was defeated without a seconder.
After a final call for someone to second the motion, Mayor Moore declared the motion was defeated.
