Mayor Moore requested any notice of motion.
Councillor Mackay said he had received a lot of complaints regarding the landfill fees, particularly from farmers.
“We’ve jacked up the price by 100%.” He said. “Farmers cannot recoup their money.”
He said he’d received ten to fifteen calls, some highly aggressive.
He said they should lower the price for farmers, and increase it over the time.
Mayor Moore said that it would come at a future meeting.
Councillor Nicholson asked staff to investigate the intersection lighting as part of the LED project.
He also asked for a report on the feasibility of “a reuse building at our landfill site.”
He also asked about the approval project for communication tower construction in the reason.
The Mayor said that it had been documented and would be pursued.
