DELMER THIBEAU
It is with regret that we announce the passing of Delmer Thibeau, peacefully at Pembroke Regional Hospital, Sunday, October 29th in his 91st year. Left to mourn him is his loving wife, Bernice (nee Phanenhour), daughters Elizabeth (Murray) Warren, Helen (Frank) Dillabough, stepson Kent Palmer and stepdaughter Sherrie (Bill) Branje. Delmer was predeceased by his first wife Marion (nee Millar), infant daughter Frances Jean, his parents Silas and Elizabeth (nee Johnson) and his brothers, Forrest, Armour, Harris and Leslie Thibeau. Delmer will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Andrew (Shauna) Warren, Wade Warren, Elissa Warren (Mark Lamarche), Owen Dillabough (Laurie), Hope Dillabough (Jacques Benoit), and step-grandchildren Ryan, Jamie and Bobby. The adventures of his eight great-grandchildren Clark, Abbey, Ben and Brock Warren; Irene Dillabough; Addie, Gemma and Jayden Lamarche, made him smile.
Always fascinated by trucks, Delmer owned Thibeau Transport and operated out of Pembroke with many loyal employees contributing to its success.
Thanks to the Doctors and staff of the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the Pembroke Regional Hospital (especially third floor Medical nurses) for their exceptional care. Thank you also to the relatives and friends who brightened his day during his hospitalization. Additionally, thanks to Leona and Tyrone and to relatives and friends who helped Bernice through this difficult time.
In keeping with Delmer’s wishes there will be no wake and a private family funeral will be held following cremation. Thanks to the Fraser, Morris & Heubner Funeral Home for their assistance.
