Ella Mae Methvin (Turner)
Of Auburndale, Florida, formerly of Cobden, ON, passed away peacefully at her home in Florida on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 in her 75th year in the presence of family and friends.
Ella Methvin (nee Green) is survived by her dear friend and companion George Ashby; Daughters: Kathy McBride (Alex), Wendy Stone (Richard), Valerie Turner (Rick); Son: Brian (Jennifer); Grandchildren: Michael McBride (Carissa), Erin Hodge(Brendan), Jennifer McBride, Nicole Stone (Jon), Amanda Stone (Shane), Lauren Duchesne (Phil), Nathalie Hewitt (Marcus), Kate & Olivia Turner; and Great-Grandchildren: Bradley, Zakk, Noah & Joey, Elizabeth and Ellie.
Ella is also survived by her brother, Ron Green (Lorraine) of Nova Scotia, along with many nieces and nephews throughout the Maritimes and across Canada. Ella is predeceased by husbands Richard Methvin and Albert Turner and brothers Angus, Tom and Lew.
Respecting Ella’s wishes her ashes will be spread by her family on Kelly’s Mountain, Cape Breton during a private celebration in the Summer of 2017. Perhaps they are not stars but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are happy
