MURIEL GRACE BENNETT
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Muriel Grace Bennett (nee Davidson) of Stittsville on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Best friend and loving wife of Millar Bennett and proud mother of Lorraine (Gordon) Huckabone of Cobden, Irwin (Lise) Bennett of Hanmer, Wayne (Paula) Bennett of Sudbury, and Heather (Mike) Watson of Kanata. She will be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Marion Duffy, Helen Davidson, and Hazel (Keith) Bromley, and by her brother Clarence (Sydney) Davidson. Predeceased by her siblings Harold, Harvey, and Kenneth Davidson and Lois Bradley. Muriel lived life to the fullest and was proud to reach 86 years with an amazing sense of determination and strength. Special thanks to the nurses of C3 and ICU doctors of the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Family and friends called at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, Nepean, on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service was held at Stittsville United Church on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 1 pm. Burial at Stittsville United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or Stittsville United Church would be appreciated.
