of Beachburg, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday September 25, 2016 in her 83rd year. Reta Hawthorne, nee Bennett, beloved wife of the late Percy Hawthorne. Dear mother of Linda Hawthorne, Diana (Ken Hutt), Sheila (Eric Broome), Dale Boal (Ron Bruce) and Neil (Connie) Hawthorne. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Helen (Andrew Vanderhorn), Christine Dorschner, Joan (David Reid), Mary Crozier and 2 brothers, Darwin (Josephine) Bennett, Jim (Myrna) Bennett and 3 sisters-in-law Evelyn (Emmett Stephens), Velma Hawthorne and Elaine Hawthorne. Friends called at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home. Cobden, on Tuesday, September 27. Service in St. Andrews United Church, Beachburg was on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Interment Beachburg Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to St. Andrews Memorial Fund or Beachburg Union Cemetery would be appreciated.
