The Council heard a recommendation that Council of the Township of Whitewater Region authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute the Letter of Agreement for the Links2Wellbeing social prescribing for older adults program.
And further that Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approve the submission of the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) 2022–23 federal grant.
CAO Burton said that the seniors work group received funding from Links2Wellbeing of $42,000 “for year one.”
He said that the applications for the second item had a November 1st deadline.
“Essentially the purpose of that application is to continue the operations of the Whitewater Seniors Centre.”
