One injured in restaurant fire

RENFREW COUNTY (Petawawa) — On April 27 at approximately 5:15 p.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Petawawa Firefighters were called to a structure fire at a restaurant on Petawawa Boulevard.

One person was transported to hospital by Renfrew County Paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries. Firefighters remained on the scene for much of the night. UOV OPP, with assistance of the Petawawa Fire Department, is investigating the cause of the blaze. One lane of the roadway was closed between Victoria Street and Mohns Avenue due to the fire and remains closed at this time.
