OPP executive drug warrant in Pembroke

PEMBROKE — On Thursday, November 16, 2017 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the City of Pembroke. Drug paraphernalia, cash and various types of drugs were seized.
As a result 18-year-old Alyssa Chaput and 20-year-old Michael Thomas McCallum, both of Pembroke, have been arrested and both are charged with the following CDSA and Criminal Code (CC) offences:
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Mr. McCallum is further charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with Probation contrary to the Criminal Code. Both subjects were released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 16, 2018.
