RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — On Sunday July 28, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) accepted an invitation to play a friendly game of softball with the Pembroke Pirates, our local Pembroke and Area Special Olympics team.
In a close contest, under sunny skies and ideal conditions at Riverside Park in Pembroke, the Pirates edged the OPP team by one run in the final inning.
