PETAWAWA – The first ever Ottawa Valley Virtual Market (OVVM) is taking place on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 10am – 3pm. OVVM is an initiative planned and executed by small business owners, Holly Molenaar, Ottawa Valley Boss Babes Podcast, Jacklyn Stott, Natural Glow and Lisa Grison, Ottawa Valley Coffee / Valley Child Clothing and will feature some of Ottawa Valley’s most beloved small businesses.

The OVVM will take place on a virtual conference platform, World Event Center, that closely replicates the look and feel of an in-person market. Vendors will be given access to their own personal customizable booth where they can sell products, book clients and/or promote their business. Vendors are also given free access to 3 different workshops that will help prepare the growing list of small businesses prepare for the market, while also offering opportunities with social media, marketing and business awareness.

“We haven’t seen anyone else attempt to put together a market over the past year and with the pandemic and the devastating effects it’s had on our business community, we wanted to provide a wide-reaching venue for businesses to gain more exposure, make more sales and reach a wider audience, all done safely, from the comfort of their own homes.” says Holly Molenaar, co-founder.

“As small business owners, we totally understand the toll this pandemic has taken on our businesses and we thought a market, right before Easter, would be a great way to pull our business community together to create a market experience for residents of the Ottawa Valley and for those who can’t currently visit the Ottawa Valley.” added Jackie Stott, co-founder.

The OVVM will continue to accept vendor applications up to 1 week before the event and being a virtual event, spaces are unlimited so the platform can accommodate as many businesses that want to be part of this virtual market dedicated to businesses throughout the Ottawa Valley.
