October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Canadian Cancer Society has ideas to help you fundraise for this cause or just have fun with it.
Pink Bake Off and Cake Sale – Hold a Pink-themed bake off or ask a colleague to bring in yummy pink treats.
Wear Pink – Ask everyone to wear something Pink and make a donation.
The Big Pink Raffle – Raffle off an annual leave day, a coveted parking spot, or a free lunch for their team. The more valuable the prize, the more money you’ll raise.
Pink Treat Day – Organize treats in your office for your colleagues such as a pop-up nail bar, mini massages, yoga class etc.
Pink Themed Halloween Event – Dress up as characters or personalities known for wearing or being Pink (e.g. Pink Panther, Miss Piggy, Pink Floyd, a marshmallow or a Pink Crayon)
Pink Movie Screening – Show a fun comedy in your staff room such as Clueless, Pretty in Pink or Bridesmaids.
Donate a Percentage of Sales – For a day or during the month of October get your company to donate a percentage of sales on an item or service you provide.
