The Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approved entering into a Service Agreement with Product Care Association of Canada (PCA) respective to submitting claims for collected hazardous and special products.
Superintendent Steve Hodson said that the township had been in an agreement from the association for ‘many years’ and helped with costs for collection of hazardous materials.
“This just allows us to offset some of our costs.”
Councillor Mackay asked if “pressurized containers” included aerosol cans, which Hodson clarified included objects such as propane cylinders.
The motion was carried.
