RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — A new breastfeeding drop-in pilot has begun, where a Registered Nurse and a breastfeeding specialist from Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) provide one-on-one support and counselling. This pilot is being offered to support breastfeeding in the Pembroke area.

Dr. Koudra of the West Champlain Family Health Team (WCFHT), in collaboration with the RCDHU, has volunteered office space for the pilot. This service is open to the community, and clients do not need to be a patient of the WCFHT to attend the drop-in.

The breastfeeding drop-in will take place at the WCFHT, 315 Pembroke Street East, on Monday June 24th, July 8th and July 15th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Following this initial pilot, a review of the breastfeeding drop-in will be done to support this initiative in the future.

Sincerely,

Dr Koudra, Fahamia & the RCDHU Family Health Team
