PEMBROKE – On July 15, 2018, at approximately 2am, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to several 911 calls reporting that a male on Christie Street in the City of Pembroke was physically abusing a dog. Officers responded and a short time later police located the male and the dog. As a result of this incident 22-year-old Noah Richard NEUMAN, of Pembroke, is charged with the following Criminal Code offences: Cruelty to animals and Fail to comply with probation.

He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on September 4. The dog did not require veterinary treatment at the time and it has been removed from the care of the accused.
