RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — Given the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) is providing a brief update on several aspects of hospital operations that are now being affected.
Patients with existing Diagnostic Imaging and Surgical bookings are advised that all appointments are being reviewed and prioritized with priority given to urgent and emergent tests/procedures. Patients may receive a call to let them know that their scheduled test/procedure has been delayed and will be rebooked for a later date.
For patients with appointments through our Ambulatory Clinics, there will be no changes to appointments for Medical Day Care or Systemic Therapy. Clinic visits will be reviewed and prioritized with priority given to urgent and emergent appointments. Patients will be contacted if their appointments will be delayed rebooked for a later date. Some Clinic appointments may be done by phone or other remote methods but patients will be notified if this is the case for their appointment. Patients who still have in-person appointments will be called the day before to be pre-screened.
In addition, the PRH Auxiliary’s Sunshine Gift Shop will remain open today and tomorrow from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and then close until further notice effective at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Starting March 18, the Pembroke Regional Hospital will be providing television rental services free of charge to all inpatients on the Medical and Rehabilitation units where there is normally a rental fee. Television guides and headphones for each patient will be provided on the unit. PRH will be providing regular public updates on the work that is being done in relation to COVID-19 as well as changes that impact patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
