PEMBROKE — The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families has been awarded a four-year accreditation by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA).  The hard work, professionalism, and dedication of its staff and Board of Directors are clearly reflected in this significant achievement.

“To be CCA Accredited is truly a seal of approval,” said Greg Lubimiv, Executive Director. “Our stakeholders can be assured that we have undergone an extensive internal and external review process that ensures we are providing quality services to our community.”

Accreditation is a process that provides assurance from a respected third-party that the accredited organization meets commonly accepted standards for good governance, management, and excellence in service provision. It is one way that to demonstrate that staff are operating responsibly and providing responsive and quality services, he said.

Barbara Wiktorowicz, Executive Director, Canadian Centre for Accreditation, said, “One of the key benefits of participating in CCA’s accreditation program is that it promotes an ongoing culture of learning and quality improvement throughout the organization.”

The Phoenix Centre was previously accredited by Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO).  With this four-year accreditation by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA), the Phoenix Centre is recognized for achieving established CCA standards in the area of child and youth mental health services. The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families is proud to be accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA) and looks forward to maintaining the practice standards of quality improvement and responsive, effective community services promoted by the CCA.

The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families will be having an Accreditation Celebration on Wednesday, April 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at their two locations, 130 Pembroke St. W., Pembroke and 191 Plaunt St. S., Renfrew.  Snacks and refreshments will be served.  Everyone is welcome.
