Police investigating suspected arson

RENFREW COUNTY (Pembroke) — The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance in a suspected arson case.

On May 26 shortly before 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a structure fire at automotive garage at 283 Trafalgar Road in Pembroke. Members of the Pembroke Fire Department were already on the scene and reported evidence leading them to believe the fire had been deliberately set. The flames were contained and extinguished quickly by firefighters. There was no major damage to the building. Members of the UOV Detachment and UOV OPP Crime Unit are continuing the investigation.
