In addition to showcasing the latest fashions available at the Sunshine Gift Shop, representatives of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Auxiliary presented a cheque in the amount of $53,000 to PRH President and CEO Pierre Noel at the Fall Harvest of Fashions show which took place Friday, September 28th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church hall in Pembroke.
The $53,000 contribution marks another substantial payment towards the Auxiliary’s $500,000 pledge in support of the Hospital’s orthopaedics program and inpatient Surgical floor upgrades.
To date, $209,000 has been paid, leaving another $291,000 to be raised through the group’s fundraising endeavours which include operation of the gift shop and Mural Café at PRH.
