WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — At the meeting of the Council of the Township of Whitewater Region on Wednesday last week, the Development and Planning Committee recommended Council to enact a by-law to authorize the Township to enter into a Private Road Agreement (PRA) with Kristian and Mark Davis.
In July 2018, Council passed a motion to support the creation of a new residential parcel, having access by the creation of a private road extending from Olmstead-Jeffrey Lake Road. As a condition of approval, Council required the owners to enter into a PRA in order to set out road standards and maintenance of the private road extending to the new lot and that the agreement be registered on title. According to Ivan Burton, Planner and Economic Development Officer, the owners have now completed the necessary surveying, as well as having executed the PRA. They were seeking Councils approval to fulfill the final condition.
Moved by Councillor Dave MacKay and seconded by Mayor Mike Moore, Council voted to carry the motion. Staff will now provide the Davis’ with a copy of the executed PRA, which they will have to get registered against the lands to which it applies.
