PEMBROKE — On Wednesday, August 8, the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Crime Unit (CU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted a search warrant at a residence on Clemow Avenue in Pembroke.
Two heavy-duty stun guns were located and seized by police. The stun guns are prohibited weapons under section 84 of the Criminal Code.
Charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon s.91(2) CC and importing a prohibited weapon and s.103(1)(a) CC were laid against 57-year-old Leo Schilkie of Pembroke. He was released on a promise to appear and will be appearing in court on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
