On Sunday September 17, 2017, the Pullin’ for Patsy committee held its 1st Annual Patsy Moore Memorial Golf Tournament. The golf tournament was at the Oaks of Cobden in memory of our dear friend Patsy who, after 20 years of fighting cancer, lost her battle on March 1st, 2017 at the age of 50. Patsy was a long-time resident of Whitewater Region. She worked for the Township of Whitewater Region for 25 years, and was a well-known and loved volunteer. The wonderful staff and volunteers at Renfrew Hospice were able to provide the care and support Patsy needed during her last seven weeks. She was able to live comfortably, surrounded by her friends and family. The Pullin’ for Patsy committee was able to raise $2,000 from the golf tournament. During her Celebration of Life in May, the committee also collected $400 which was donated to Hospice Renfrew at that time. The committee will be purchasing a leaf in honour of Patsy which will be displayed in the main hallway on the Rural Reflections Donor Wall. The committee thanks all the businesses and individuals who donated to help make this event a success. Photo submitted
