FORESTERS FALLS — Queens Line farmers Connie and Tim Tabbert are one of a few farm families featured in the 2017 winter edition of Farm Life, a magazine published by Agco.
I received a phone call from the editor in the fall of 2015 asking if I was the reporter who didn’t grow up on a farm but married a farmer. When the answer was yes, he asked if I had any stories to share about life on a farm. I said, not really, but being a good publisher, he asked a few questions and realized I did.
Long story short, writer Jodi Helmer came and interviewed Tim and I and then photographer Jessica Deeks came out, both in January 2016. And of course, being in this part of Canada in the middle of winter, both had to reschedule appointments due to the wintry weather.
The winter 2017 Farm Life magazine recently came to our house and we are happy with how the story and photos were published.
If you want to read about a few of my adventures into the world of farming with Tim, go to myfarmlife.com and read the story titled Farm Fatale on Pages 20-24.
