RENFREW — Unleash your inner artist, and join us for a night of social painting with proceeds going towards Renfrew Collegiate Institute girls volleyball team and the visual arts department.
No experience is required for this night of Canvas and Conversation. This creative night, which is Wednesday, Sept. 21, will be facilitated by RCI art teacher Natalie Stevens and Raider art students. Follow along as you are guided step by step through the featured painting, Someone Was Here.
“Join us for a night of creativity and fun conversation,” said Ms. Stevens.
The event is in Room 327 at Renfrew Collegiate Institute and the cost is $45 per person, with all supplies provided. However, you may wish to bring a smock or old shirt, she added.
The Inukshuk is a traditional Inuit monument meaning that you are on the right path or that ‘someone was here.’
“Come on out and leave your mark by painting your own Inukshuk,” she said.
Plan to arrive at around 6:30 p.m. to select your seat. Snacks and beverages will be available during the intermission.
To register, email Ms. Stevens at [email protected] or Kim Oattes: [email protected].
Payment is to be made through the office either in person or online. Spaces will not be confirmed until payment is made. Limited spots are available, so reserve yours now.
Ms. Stevens noted this is a fundraiser and is in no way affiliated with familiar fundraising Paint Nite that has been held throughout the area the past few months.
