Reeve Regier said that the Ontario Winter Games was looking for volunteers for the event.

Councillor McLaughlin reported a “Very, very successful fishing derby without any fishing.” raising $12,500 dollars.

The 50/50 draw was $2130.

“Thank you for all the people that added to it.”

Councillor Nicholson said that there are surveys available online for the Senior’s Task force, with preference to seniors, but “Anyone can take them”, and are available in “choice areas of the community.”

He said that the due date was Friday, February 19.

Councillor Jackson expressed disappointment in the question about where they were located in Whitewater Region.

“I think in this day and age people aren’t afraid to drive to another area.” she said. “I think it needs to be just Whitewater Region as a whole.”

CAO Trembley said that it was for a sense of ‘getting a cross-section’ to determine specific issues of accessibility in specific areas.

“We are hearing some very specific things, because those are in people’s regions.” he said. “It’s really just going to corrolate that data.”

Councillor Jackson said “You could have still have still gathered that information without asking that question.”

Councillor Nicholson said that they had 26 participants to hear the cross section of the ‘needs across the region, and that affects strategy’.

At this point Councillor Mackay arrived.
