Remembrance Day services were held in Westmeath on Friday, Nov. 10.
While it was windy and bitterly cold on Friday, the school children from Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, as well as community members who gathered for the event, did not deter from their celebration. For close to 45 minutes they stood in the cold, singing hymns, reciting names and prayers and laying wreaths. This celebration was followed by everyone going into the Westmeath Community Centre upstairs hall and having a social time following a few performances by the students.
