You don’t need to look to big cities for exciting career and employment opportunities. There are hundreds of employers in Renfrew County enthusiastically looking to hire new talent in a broad array of career, business and organizational sectors. If you are looking for employment make sure you attend the County of Renfrew Career Fair. Come prepared with your resume and your elevator pitch to connect with recruiters from leading Renfrew County businesses and organizations. Free to employers and job seekers.
Parents, if you have children away at school, or working elsewhere in the world, this is a unique opportunity for you to identify potential full time careers or summer seasonal work for them here in the County and to bring them back closer to home. We have assembled an active audience of industry and service sector employers seeking to engage potential employees. Recent and soon to be retirees from the military and other professions will find the Career Fair very helpful in finding a second career; which would allow them to remain in the Ottawa Valley.
“For employers, this is a great opportunity to identify new local talent to fill existing openings, increase the profile of their organization across the County and beyond, and to build a database of future employment prospects;” states Alastair Baird, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism at Renfrew County.
Renfrew County has a dynamic and diverse economy with employment opportunities in skilled trades, agri-business, advanced manufacturing, tourism, pharmaceutical, forestry and wood processing, nuclear science and aerospace. Healthcare, education and public administration are another major employment sector offering many career opportunities across the County.
There will not only be full-time career opportunities in industry presented at the Career Fair, some of the major local tourism and hospitality businesses will be seeking summer and seasonal workers so there are also opportunities for students. The County of Renfrew itself will be presenting career opportunities available across the county in: Operations and Engineering, Emergency Services, Miramichi Lodge, Bonnechere Manor, Finance and Administration.
