Domestic Violence
Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated 11 domestic disputes during the past week. One male was charged with assault, one male was charged with uttering threats, two counts of domestic mischief, possession of stolen property and possession of marihuana, one female was charged with assault and one male was charged with break and enter, domestic mischief and two counts of breach of a recognizance. No other criminal offences took place.
Statistics Canada conducting Surveys Locally
Statistics Canada has informed the OPP it will be conducting surveys in this area of the province from now until the end of September. Statistics Canada conducts many surveys with households and businesses across the country to ensure that all Canadians have access to information to better understand Canadian society-its population, resources, economy, and culture.

To accommodate respondents’ schedules, interviewers work seven days a week, including evenings and weekends.
Thefts
A victim reported tools were stolen from his truck while he was out fishing for the day. He left his truck parked on Monday, July 3 at the Baskin Road public boat launch in Arnprior. The tools were locked in the bed of the truck and when the victim returned at 5 pm he discovered the theft. There are no suspects at this time.
