RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 334 calls for service.
Domestic Violence
Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated 6 domestic disputes during the past week.
One accused has been charged with uttering threats, and two counts of mischief.

Impaired Driving
On October 5, officers from the Renfrew OPP Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) initiative on Campbell Drive in McNab/Braeside Township. As a result of a traffic stop Kristen DUNCAN, 30 years old, of Horton Township has been charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on November 27, 2019.
Break and Enter
On October 3, at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers with the Renfrew OPP responded to break and enter call in the area of Fortington Street in the Town of Renfrew. An unknown suspect entered a residence and stole multiple items, including jewelry from the residence. Anyone with information regarding this occurrence is asked to contact the Renfrew OPP.
Assault
On October 5, officers with the Renfrew OPP and Renfrew County Paramedics responded at an assault call in McNab/Braeside Township. As a result of the investigation the following charges were laid:
Mohamad Chouchair, 20 years old of McNab/Braeside Township has been charged with;
- Uttering threats,
- Kidnapping,
- Forcible confinement,
- Assault causing bodily harm,
- Possession of a schedule one substance- Opioid,
- Four counts of assault with a weapon and
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order.
Timothy Choukair, 24 years old of McNab/Braeside Township has been charged with;
- Four counts of assault with a weapon,
- Assault causing bodily harm,
- Uttering threats,
- Kidnapping,
- Forcible confinement and
- Possession of a schedule one substance- Opioid
Both were held for a bail hearing on October 8, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
