RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew)– The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 210 calls for service.
Domestic Violence
Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated 10 domestic disputes during the past week. One accused has been charged with two counts of assault.

Break and Enter
On December 26, 2019 officers with the Renfrew OPP responded to a Break and Enter call at a residence on Highway 60 in Admaston/Bromley Township. The time of the Break and Enter is unknown at this time. The investigation is continuing anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP 1-888-310-1122 or crime stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
Breach of Probation
On December 25, 2019 at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers with the Renfrew OPP responded to an unwanted person call in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of an investigation Stephan Thompson, 25 years old of Renfrew has been charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on January 22.
Impaired Driving
On December 26, 2019 officers from the Renfrew OPP Detachment responded to a traffic complaint in Greater Madawaska Township. As a result of a vehicle stop Richard Stepaniuk, 73 years old, of Hamilton has been charged with operation while impaired, blood alcohol over 80. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on January 22.
On December 29, 2019 officers from the Renfrew OPP Detachment responded to a traffic complaint call in the Town of Arnprior. As a result of a traffic stop Ralph Pedley, 64 years old, of McNab/Braeside Township has been charged with impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol, fail to comply with probation order and three counts of operation while prohibited. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on January 22.
