RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 186 calls for service.
Domestic Violence
Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated 13 domestic disputes during the past week.
One accused has been charged with two counts of assault and two counts of mischief under $5 thousand. One accused has been charged with mischief. One accused has been charged with uttering threats and two counts of fail to comply with probation order. One accused has been charged with assault and five counts of uttering threats.

Bail Violations
On January 18, an officer with the Renfrew OPP conducted a traffic stop on Gillan Road in the Township of Horton. As a result of an investigation Brandon Traversey, 19 years old of Bonnechere Valley Township has been charged with failure to comply with undertaking. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on February 5.
On January 18, Renfrew OPP responded at a breach of probation call in the Town of Arnprior. As a result of an investigation Alyssa Clark-Hogan, 19 years old of Arnprior has been charged with failure to comply with undertaking. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on March 4.
Assault
On January 19, officers from the Renfrew OPP Detachment responded to an assault call in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of an investigation Daniel Moore, 42 years old of Renfrew has been charged with assault and uttering threats. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on March 4.
Counterfeit Money
The Renfrew OPP Detachment is investigating multiple incidents of Canadian counterfeit notes in $50 and $100 denominations. These counterfeit bills were passed at multiple businesses in Renfrew and Arnprior over various days. The investigations are continuing. The OPP would like to remind all residents and businesses to perform their due diligence when paying or accepting payment in cash.
Snow on Vehicles
The Renfrew OPP is urging motorists to consider other travellers safety and remove snow and ice from their vehicles prior to travelling. The OPP have investigated collisions where ice flying off moving vehicles has struck other motorists. This can cause serious damage not only to other vehicles but also to motorists and pedestrians. Drivers can face charges should ice or snow flying off their vehicle damage another vehicle.
