RENFREW — The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to 153 calls for service this past week.

Domestic Disputes/Assaults

During the past week officers from the Renfrew OPP investigated 10 domestic disputes, five family disputes and five assaults. Charges were laid in three of the domestic disputes and one person was charged in a family dispute.

Break and Enters/Thefts
Police investigated one break and enter on Dombroskie Road in Whitewater Township on May 20.

Impaired Drivers
The Renfrew OPP investigated 13 collisions during the past week.
On the 21st of May, Renfrew OPP stopped a motor vehicle on O’Brien Road in Renfrew. The driver of the vehicle, Lynda Rogers, 59, of Renfrew, was charged with driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood. Ms. Rogers was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.
On May 25, police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Scheel Drive. As a result of the investigation Justin Bujold, 29, of Arnprior, was charged with driving over 80mgs of alcohol in blood and possession of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Bujold was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.
