ONTARIO (Renfrew) — The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 274 calls for service.

Domestic Violence

Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated 8 domestic disputes during the past week.

• One accused was charged with assault and mischief,

• One accused was charged with uttering threats and two counts of fail to comply with conditions of undertaking.

The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is also available 24/7 for information and support at 1-800-663-3060.

You could also attend the emergency department of any hospital in Renfrew County and ask to speak to a member of the Assault Response Team. Victim Services of Renfrew County is also available to provide emotional and practical assistance to people who have experienced domestic violence. Impaired Driving

• On June 15, 2019 an officer from the Renfrew OPP Detachment was conducting traffic enforcement in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of a traffic stop Tricia FRIDGEN, 42 years old, of Admaston/Bromley Township has been charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol. The accused was released on a promise to appear and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on July 19, 2019,

• On June 16, 2019 an officer from the Renfrew OPP Detachment was conducting traffic enforcement in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of a traffic stop Jacob DAVIDSON, 20 years old, of Ottawa has been charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol. The accused was released on a promise to appear and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on July 03, 2019.

Theft

• On June 10, 2019 officers with the Renfrew OPP responded at a business in the Town of Renfrew for a theft call. As a result of an investigation Angele BELISLE, 34 years old of, Renfrew has been charged with theft under $5000. The accused was released on an appearance notice and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on July 17, 2019.
