..died peacefully at her home on Tuesday October 20th, 2015. Rita is predeceased by her husband John. She is the loving mother of Ron, Sonja, Rick & his wife Monique and Leslie Commanda and beloved grandmother of Christina, Jason, John and Joshua. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Olga & her husband Johan, Rob & his spouse Violet and Els & her husband Jaques and their families. Predeceased by her parents Rieuwert & Gesiena Bijl. The family extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Fraser Pollard, the home care providers and Hospice Quinte for their care and support during Rita’s illness. Rita’s wish was fulfilled on Thanksgiving weekend when her family and friends came together to share memories and celebrate her and each other. She will now be cremated and no services will be held.
