RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — Randy Penney, President and CEO of Renfrew Victoria Hospital, is pleased to announce that Alison Green has been selected as the new Vice President of Corporate Services.

Ms. Green began at RVH on January 6, taking over the position from Julia Boudreau who has transitioned to the role of interim Senior Vice President. Boudreau will move to the CEO role when Penney retires in June.

“I would like to welcome Alison to our hospital.  She brings with her education and experience that will help us and adds depth to our Senior Management team.  I am equally pleased that she and her family will be moving to our community to enjoy the beautiful aspects of Renfrew and our catchment area,” stated Penney.

Green has ten years of healthcare and leadership experience, and has been involved in human resources since 2005. Her experience includes Regional Advisor for the Champlain and South East LHINs with HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency under the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and previous to that, progressive roles in Medical Affairs and then as Vice President, Community Relations at Appletree Medical Group, a multidisciplinary medical group with 36 clinics serving 400 thousand patients across Ontario.

Green shared that she is excited about this new opportunity. “RVH has a stellar reputation throughout the province, and it is well deserved. I’m thrilled and honoured for this opportunity to be a part of your team. Thank you so much to the administration and managers, board, medical staff, and everyone in the hospital and community for welcoming me with open arms.”

“Stuart and I and our children have felt so warmly welcomed by everyone, and we are really looking forward to raising our family here in the Ottawa Valley.” Green, husband Stuart and children Charlotte and Sam, will relocate to the town of Renfrew from Ottawa after Charlotte finishes her school year.

Her roles have involved supporting health workforce planning on a community and systems level where relationship management and stakeholder engagement have been key. Green has also been responsible directly and indirectly for staff (training, hiring, managing) as well as the development of policies and procedures.

Green received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph, and Masters, Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Ottawa. She has also earned Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) and a Certificate in Legal Aspects of Healthcare Administration from Dalhousie University.

In a community capacity, Green has been a soccer coach and participated in Health Links working groups and steering committees, as well as serving on boards for the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group’s Volunteer Association, and various other organizations.
