Santa Claus Parade Cancellation: Cobden

For over 40 years Cobden has hosted a Santa Claus Parade
on the last Saturday of November. (November 28 th ) It was a
family tradition to line the streets of Cobden, wave & smile at the
float participants who in turn were happy to hand out treats.
We enjoyed the Renfrew Pipe Band and our very own legion
members, as w ell as other floats, musical bands and Choirs from
the local school.

After the parade Santa and Mrs. Claus met the children at
the Whitewater Community hall.

Unfortunately, due to Public Health Guide Lines amid the
Pandemic we will be unable to h old our regular Cobden Santa
Claus Parade. We will look forward to the 2021 Santa Parade!!
There will be other ways of Celebrating Christmas.

For example, if you have not already, take time to visit the Cobden Christmas Barn located at the Farmers Market Building, on S

Saturday and Sunday –– 10 am 4pm.

OR

–– The Beavertail truck will be in town on Friday, Saturday and Sunday –– parked at the Main/Crawford Corner (November 27-29th) watch for details. A percentage sales will go to a local charity

OR — The business both on the Cobden Main Street, and Highway 17 would be in the Christmas Spirit, so take advantage of what our local shops have to offer.

OR –– Celebrate the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Veterans park (beside Presbyterian Church) –– on Saturday, November 28 at –– 6:30 pm.

The Cobden Recreation Association is sponsoring a Christmas Lights Decorating Contest –– judging is not until the 30th of of November to December 4th — but there should be lots of lights to enjoy. Pick up your map of where the lights will be: In Whitewater, Admaston/Bromley.

Also take time for a spaghetti lunch sponsored by the Agricultural Society (Dec. 5) –– pick up your auction items.

Lots of things to do in “Whitewater”…

Enjoy what our communities have to offer, and remember to stay “SAFE”.

Thank you

–– Cobden Santa Claus Parade Committee
