PEMBROKE – The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is pleased to announce a collective bargaining agreement has been ratified and approved with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF), District 28.
RCDSB trustees voted in favour of the tentative local deal, which ratifies the local contract it has with District 28 of the OSSTF, during a special board meeting held Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Pembroke.
Renfrew County public secondary teachers voted in favour of the deal on Friday, Oct. 30.
“There has been a lot of hard work to come up with this,” RCDSB chairman of the board David Shields said. “We have a very good working relationship with District. We look forward to continuing that relationship in to the future.”
District 28 President Jeff Barber was present at the special board meeting to witness the vote.
“We are very pleased to continue the positive working relationship we have enjoyed for many years with the RCDSB,” Mr. Barber said.
